Disneyland
Disneyland is undergoing many changes to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will be opening in Disneyland later this year! With this, many closures have hit Disneyland recently. For example, a majority of Critter Country is under construction. Right next to Critter Country, the Haunted Mansion is also undergoing construction. The good news is that Haunted Mansion will be opening even sooner than expected and will be opening as Haunted Mansion Holiday with a Virtual Queue later this year! But soon, even more closures will be hitting the Disneyland Resort.
We know that Disneyland is already going through it with the amount of closures around the park, but if you are planning to visit Disneyland this summer you may want to watch out for even more closures in August!
Main Street
Starting in August, two more attractions will close at Disneyland Park. The Disneyland Railroad will close on August 5th. The railroad does cut through Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, so maybe it will get a new narration update. This could mean that Disneyland is one step closer to opening Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!

Disneyland Railroad
In Tomorrowland, Space Mountain will also close on August 5th. If you are looking to catch a ride to space, you will need to visit before then!

Two attractions in California Adventure will also close on August 5th. The Animation Building is already undergoing changes, as Beast’s Library in the Sorcerer’s Workshop recently closed to make way for a new space for Imagination Campus, Disney’s education program for students.

On August 5th, both Turtle Talk with Crush and the Animation Academy will close. This means that the only offerings available in the Animation Building would be the Anna and Elsa meet and greet along with the part of the Sorcerer’s Workshop, where you can still practice and learn the tricks of animation.

While these are a lot of closures for Disneyland, it just means that all these rides and attractions are getting a little love! If you are planning to visit Disneyland before these August 5th closures, you might even be able to catch Pixar Fest, which is happening this summer resort-wide!

Until August 4th, you can find Pixar-themed food offerings, food booths, merchandise, a special parade titled “Better Together: A Pixar Celebration!” and so much more!
