I’ve got some theories regarding the Dandy’s World lore! I may be wrong, but it’s fun to theorise, right? Read on to find out what I think may be going on in the Gardenview Center.
Now that you’ve brushed up on the lore, it’s time to dive into Dandy’s World. Don’t forget to equip the trinkets before you head into a round, particularly the Dandy’s World Twisted Trinkets!
Dandy’s World Lore
Is there Dandy’s World lore? Definitely! It’s not extremely obvious, and it’s not exactly written down anywhere, but we can deduce what we can find in-game to create our own theories. Firstly, the game takes place in the Gardenview Center, an educational museum. Dandy seems to be the main highlight of this place, with his face plastered everywhere. Plus, he runs the shop (in the lobby and during matches)!
Each floor that you explore is part of the center, and for some reason, everything needs Ichor to be powered up! Well, it looks like that’s what goes into the Extractor Machines at least. As for what the Ichor is… we don’t know. You can use the Ichor to purchase new Toons, which doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the lore. To me, the Ichor seems to be some sort of fuel or ink. The latter makes more sense seeing as how everything is a cartoon.
Next up, we have the Twisted versions of the Toons. What happened to them? And why are they now evil? By now, you’ll have noticed that the Twisteds are all based on the playable Toons. Then we’ve got Dandy, who turns evil when you ignore his shop 3 or more times. Is something darker going on in the Gardenview Center?
I reckon the Toons are mascots for the business, hence why there are multiple posters on the walls with drawings of them. There’s also a poster that lists out the rules for how to behave while in the center, such as ‘Don’t pull on Toons’, ‘No photography around Astro’, etc.
So it looks like the Gardenview Centre is an attraction of sorts! But that doesn’t explain why things seem to have gone awry. The cartoon mascots are all colourful, until they become Twisted, which is when they become covered in the Ichor ink. This Ichor must be causing the issues, surely.
