Anime Defenders Meta
Meta just means ‘best of’ in regards to a certain trait such as status effects, support, crit, etc. This isn’t actually an official term in the game, so it’s based on player opinions on what they think the best units are.
Naturally, Meta units may alter, so units that are in this guide now may not forever be considered a Meta unit. Current Meta units may lose their Meta throne if better units get added to the game. When making your team, you need to take a few things into consideration, which is where choosing a balanced team of Metas helps you out!
Units can be considered Meta for the following:
- Attack
- Crit
- Support
- Buffers
- Debuffs
- Farm
Secret Meta Units
- The Cursed Knight
- Evolves into The Cursed Knight
- Obtained via Limited Banner
- Stats Meta (ATK, SPA, RNG and Skills)
Mythic Meta Units
- Cursed Prince
- Evolves into the Cursed King
- Obtained via Summons
- Crit, Burn and Bleed Meta
- Elf Wizardess
- Evolves into the Elf Hero
- Obtained via Summons
- Stats Meta (ATK, SPA, RNG and Skills)
- Warrior Princess
- Evolves into Warrior Queen
- Obtained via the Limited Banner
- DPS Meta unit
Legendary Meta Units
- Pink Rockstar
- Obtained via Summons
- Farm Meta (as well as adding an ATK Buff to other units)
- Admiral of Ice
- Obtained via Summons
- Freezes enemies, stunning them and making them stop momentarily
- Admiral of Lava
- Obtained via Summons
- Burns enemies, dealing more damage per tick
Epic Meta Units
- Dragon Slayer
- Obtained via Summons
- Burns enemies during an upgrade
- Bloomer
- Obtained via Summons
- Farm Meta unit
- Cannot be evolved
