Alright, so let’s get into the guide!

What Is A META Unit?

Meta units are those considered the best in their field within Anime Defenders. This means every Meta unit is fluid, and may drop from being considered a Meta as more units get added to the game. So, in short, Meta just means the best of the best currently. This is a subjective matter and not an official game term, so despite a unit being considered Meta, you may think they’re mid.

When crafting a team, diversity is key. So, you’ll want to obtain the units that perform the best for certain tasks such as Farm, Support, Debuffers, Attack, etc. What’s good about Metas is that sometimes you don’t have to seek the highest rarity units such as Mythics and Secrets to have a unit that is ideal for a certain trait.

Secret Meta Units

• The Cursed Knight
  • The Cursed Knight evolves into the The Cursed Knight (Unlocked)
  • Obtained via Limited Banner
  • Stats Meta (ATK, SPA, RNG and Skills)

Mythic Meta Units

• Elf Wizardess
  • Evolves into Elf Hero
  • Obtained via Summons
  • Stats Meta (ATK, SPA, RNG and Skills)
• Carp
  • Evolves into Prime Carp
  • Obtained via Summons
  • DPS Meta unit
• Flame Dragon King
  • Evolves into Flame Dragon God
  • Obtained via Summons
  • Status Effect Burn Meta
• Cursed Prince
  • Evolves into Cursed King
  • Obtained via Summons
  • Crit, Burn and Bleed Meta
• Warrior Princess
  • Evolves into Warrior Queen
  • Obtained via Limited Banner
  • DPS Meta unit

• Pink Rockstar
  • No evolution
  • Obtained via Summons
  • Farm Meta (also applies ATK buff to other units on a field)
• Cursed Fighter
  • No evolution
  • Obtained via Summons
  • Debuffs enemies
  • +15% allies DMG increase
  • Support Meta
• Admiral of Ice
  • No evolution

  • Freeze Meta unit
