Demonfall Breathing Tier List

Which breathing styles are worth unlocking? Well, to make your decision easier, we’ve ranked them!

S Tier

The strongest breathing styles in Demonfall with the best passives!

  • Water Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Urokodaki
    • Passive: For each hit, your Breath bar replenishes by 15%
  • Sun Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Prestige
    • Trainer: The one and only Tanjiro
    • Passive: You now inflict the Burn debuff as you attack enemies (if your character is a Demon, you deal 2x Burn DMG)

A Tier

Powerful passives that are worth it!

  • Thunder Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Kujima
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks deal an additional stun when hitting enemies
  • Insect Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Shinobu
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks now ‘jab’ the enemy whilst inflicting them with the Poison debuff
  • Love Breathing
    • Trainer: Mitsuri
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks have a greater range during combat and your healing speed is increased. You also get an extra M1 hit if you have Kendo Mastery!

B Tier

The passives that come with these breathing styles are good, but nothing compared to the A-tier and S-tier styles.

  • Moon Breathing
    • Hybrid
    • Trainer: Kokushibou
    • Passive: Your blade gets a mysterious aura, but it’s up to the demonic power to decide which path it goes down… and can lead you to the darkness
  • Beast Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Inosuke
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks hit twice dealing double the DMG
      • (to be specific, 10 DMG, but 11 DMG if you have Kendo Mastery!)

C Tier

These breathing styles have pretty weak passives that are worth swapping out when you have the chance to do so.

  • Wind Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Grimm
    • Passive: Your walking and running speed increases
  • Mist Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Tokito
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks reduce the walking speed of the enemy by 1 second
  • Sound Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Uzui
    • Passive: Your M1 attacks hit twice, like the Beast Breathing technique, but this breathing style is a bit weaker compared to it!

D Tier

The worst breathing styles in Demonfall.

  • Serpent Breathing
    • Slayer
    • Trainer: Obanai
    • No passive
