This easy blender salsa comes together quickly and is the perfect consistency if you love restaurant-style salsa. Pair it with your favorite chips, strawberry salsa and a kiwi margarita for a delicious snack, happy hour treat or Cinco de Mayo appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 14.5 oz cans fire roasted tomatoes, drained
- 1 jalapeño seeds removed and cut into 1 inch chunks
- 1 lime, juiced and zested
- 1 small onion, white or red is fine, cut into one inch chunks
- ½ bunch fresh cilantro
- 3 cloves fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Tajin
- 5 dashes Tobasco or Cholula hot sauce
Instructions
- Mix ingredients in a food processor or blender by pulsing or using a quick burst of power until you reach the desired consistency. Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Allow the salsa to sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld before serving and serve cold
