Restaurant-style blender salsa with chips and lime wedges

This easy blender salsa comes together quickly and is the perfect consistency if you love restaurant-style salsa. Pair it with your favorite chips, strawberry salsa and a kiwi margarita for a delicious snack, happy hour treat or Cinco de Mayo appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 14.5 oz cans fire roasted tomatoes, drained
  • 1 jalapeño seeds removed and cut into 1 inch chunks
  • 1 lime, juiced and zested
  • 1 small onion, white or red is fine, cut into one inch chunks
  • ½ bunch fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Tajin
  • 5 dashes Tobasco or Cholula hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a food processor or blender by pulsing or using a quick burst of power until you reach the desired consistency. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  2. Allow the salsa to sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for the flavors to meld before serving and serve cold
