This kiwi margarita is a fun, fruity, fresh spin on the classic margarita thanks to sweet-tart kiwi fruit! Serve it with your favorite chips, quick and easy blender salsa and grilled guacamole for a delicious happy hour spread. Strawberry salsa is also a good addition.
Ingredients
- 1 kiwi halved and scooped out of its shell
- 2 oz. blanco or silver Tequila
- 1 oz. Cointreau,
- 1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz. simple syrup
- 1/2 cup ice
Instructions
- Line the rim of a Collins glass with lime juice and roll in Tajin to line the rim with seasoning
- Cut the ends off your kiwi and slice one wheel for a garnish. Then, cut the kiwi in half and scoop it out of its furry shell with a spoon.
- Place kiwi halves in a cocktail shaker and muddle
- Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker
- add a half cup ice, shake, and drop all the ingredients into your glass
- garnish with the kiwi wheel and an optional mint or cilantro sprig
