PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn California Ski Resort

The rooms themselves were comfortable, with comfortable king beds and delicious toiletries. The mini bar stocked with exceptional California wines was an added bonus, so guests can rest assured that their wine needs will be taken care of here.

While we did not have dinner at the restaurant, they do offer complimentary breakfast for all guests which definitely satisfied our needs: bacon, breads, eggs and more await guests in the morning before they hit the slopes.

Service from the front desk was excellent and Ricky greeted every guest as though they were an old friend. There is nothing more comforting than being greeted by a friendly front desk agent who genuinely loves his job.

The facilities are one area that could be improved upon. Since the property is a bit older, there is no elevator and there are quite a few stairs – so be sure to check with the hotel to have your needs accommodated. The hot tubs were also a bit on the fritz – one jacuzzi’s jets were not functional. The hotel also has a small fitness center and a ski gear shop and rental.

Town is only steps away from the front doors so we would recommend exploring the adorable town of Squaw for dinner. No need for a bus or taxi here – everything is within walking distance.
