Toffee Pretzel Brownies

These brownies are full of salty pretzels and toffee chips making for a decadent, delightful, fudgy brownie.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks salted butter
  • 5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup toffee chips
  • 2 cups mini salted pretzels

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray an 8 x 8 -inch
    baking pan with cooking spray
    In a large bowl melt the butter with the bittersweet chocolate oin the microwave until smooth and melted. Sprinkle in the cocoa powder and whisk to combine.
    Stir the sugar until just combined. One at a time,stir in the eggs. Gently stir in the flour until incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and stir just until combined.
    Sprinkle half of the pretzels in the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Pour the batter (it
    will be very thick!) in the pan over the pretzels. Spread to even out the top and arrange
    the remaining pretzels and toffee chips all over the top.
    Bake for 50-55 minutes, then check the brownies with a toothpick.
    return the pan to the oven for 5 to 10 more minutes, being careful not to burn the edges.
    Allow to cool completely, then cut into 12 squares.
