A Dusty Trip How To Get Gas Guide
Want to know how to keep your car going and continue along the road? Keeping up with your fuel gauge is vital if you don’t want to wind up stranded, and there are a few ways to get it. You find fuel in jerry cans. You usually find gas in red cans, and diesel usually appears in orange cans, but make sure to check by mousing over! Getting mixes in your tank is bad news.
Here are a few places to find gas.
Scavenging
You find gas cans pretty often in roadside buildings. They’re often full of junk and you might need to move some of it around to find the jerry cans hidden underneath the random trash.
A word of warning! Most of the buildings have at least one enemy inside. If you want to loot in peace, take them out if you’re armed or lure them away if you’re unarmed. Teamwork can come in handy here if you’re on a multiplayer server.
Buying
Fuel is often for sale at shops along the route! You’ll find it on the shelves. Take it in your hand and take it over to the ‘Buy’ side of the counter to exchange the fuel for bottle caps. You find these caps in buildings, and should see a total on-screen.
Be warned! Don’t try and steal fuel! It might look like you could just grab the item and talk out, but the shopkeeper does not take kindly to shoplifters and will shoot you. It’s best to just pay your dues and leave with your fuel.
