Focaccia is a type of Italian flatbread that is widely popular and loved for its soft, chewy texture and flavorful toppings. It’s similar to pizza dough but typically thicker and more moist. If you are in a hurry and aren’t great at making dough, you can make delicious spongy focaccia with pre-made dinner rolls seasoned with olive oil, salt, herbs like rosemary or thyme, and sometimes vegetables decorated in little scenes.

Give your creative juices a workout with this one.

You can decorate the easy focaccia with garden scenes with vegetables and herbs, too

  • 15 Rhodes Frozen Dinner Rolls
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • Place rolls in a 9 x 13 pan sprayed with cooking spray
  • Spray a sheet of plastic wrap to cover the rolls, and let them sit at room temperature overnight to rise
  • With your fingers, push the dough down gently, creating dimpled holes
  • Sprinkle with olive oil
  • Sprinkle with garlic, thyme, and rosemary, and finish with coarse salt
  • Bake at 350 for 25 minutes until brown

Consider using herbs like oregano, chives, rosemary, or Parsley leaves to decorate Focaccia. For flowers, use peppers or halves of cherry tomatoes, pitted black olives, or red onions.
