3-ingredient maple bacon

Whenever I serve maple bacon, everyone always asks what I did to make it so amazing. Lucky for all of you, maple bacon is a super-simple recipe that calls for just three ingredients, but it takes this brunch staple to a new level for a special occasion or an amped up BLT anytime.

Tips for Making Bacon in the Oven

  • Baking at a lower temperature over a longer period of time prevents the bacon from curling, which results in a nicer presentation if you’re serving this for a party or brunch.
  • You could add your favorite spices to this recipe. If you’re going for something a little spicier, try my other oven bacon recipe: spicy candied pepper bacon!
  • Line your broiler pan or sheet pan with aluminum foil to ensure a quick and easy clean up.
  • You can take the time to brush each strip of bacon with the glaze, or you could just drizzle it. I prefer mine to be uniform, so I use a silicone brush.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thick-cut Nueske’s bacon
  • 1 /3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Maple Syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil and place an oven-safe wire rack on top.
  3. Whisk the maple syrup and the sugar together in a bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.
  4. Arrange the bacon on the wire rack and drizzle or brush each slice with the maple and sugar mixture to create a thin layer.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
