Party Paloma Mimosa in two glasses and a periwinkle pitcher

This party paloma mimosa recipe is a lovely spring or summer cocktail (or mocktail!) with its citrus flavors and spicy/sweet rim. Whenever I host I make sure to offer both a cocktail and a mocktail, so everyone has something tasty to enjoy.

What is a Paloma?

A paloma is a tequila based cocktail, typically with grapefruit and lime flavors. This one incorporates Prosecco to make it a paloma mimosa, but you could leave out the alcohol altogether and serve it with a plain, lime, or grapefruit soda water.

How to Make a Paloma Mimosa

This paloma mimosa recipe is incredibly easy to make into a non-alcoholic beverage and it’s perfect for mixing up in a pitcher to have it ready when guests arrive. Simply set out a bowl of sugar mixed with Tajin spice (affil. link) and some slices of lime so guests can rim their glasses on their own. Then all they need to do is pour the drink mix in their glass and top with Prosecco! See the full recipe below for about six servings. You can double or triple the recipe depending on how many guests you’ll have.

Lime Juice Tip

If you find yourself with a bunch of limes but no plans to use them all, you can squeeze them all and freeze the juice for later use. I love to freeze it in ice cube trays so I can take just as much as I need at a time.
