UPDATE: Disney Comments on Release Dates for ‘Frozen,’ ‘Toy Story,’ and ‘Zootopia’ Sequels!

February 7th marked a BIG day for The Walt Disney Company, as fans and shareholders alike tuned in to the first earnings call of 2024.

Throughout the call, we got updates on Disney’s financial performance across the parks as well as online streaming platforms. As the Company focuses more on streaming and film, we were able to get some huge updates on some upcoming releases that we’ve been expecting. Let’s talk about it!

In a talk with CNBC prior to the earnings call, Disney shared that Moana 2 would be in theaters on November 27th, 2024. That’s not the only movie we’re getting, though. 👀

First up, Disney CEO Bob Iger commented on Zootopia 2, the sequel to 2016’s Zootopia. The film will follow along with Judy Hopps once more, and you can catch it in theaters in 2025!

Next, Iger gave us some updates on the highly-anticipated Frozen 3 Iger said that we can expect the film “around 2026 and beyond.” All we know about the film so far is that Josh Gad will return as Olaf, and the movie will boast a new director.

Last but not least, Iger touched on Toy Story 5! This one is also set for 2026 and beyond, and will feature Tim Allen as the voice of Buzz Lightyear. Nothing else has been revealed yet, unfortunately.
