Disneyland’s newest attraction just got a major update!

While Disneyland is undergoing several refurbishments and closures at the moment, one new attraction is progressing full steam ahead! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure just got a massive new installation that’s hard to miss!
The new ride, slated to open later this year, has mostly been covered in scaffolding and other construction equipment up to this point, but today we noticed a VERY big change. The water tower has finally been installed on the exterior of the ride!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is replacing Splash Mountain at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom. Disneyland’s Splash Mountain closed several months after Magic Kingdom’s and has lagged behind Disney World’s progress as a result, but this new installation is a huge step towards completion.

The new tower features Tiana’s crown as well as a logo for Tiana’s Foods. The tower is a major piece of an attraction that will take riders on a musical adventure inspired by The Princess and the Frog (2009) that picks up where the film left off. Guests “will join Princess Tiana, Naveen, and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure through the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind Mardi Gras celebration where everyone is welcome,” per Disney. The ride will include several drops, including “the big one”, just the same as its predecessor.
